Western Reserve Playhouse and NuVue Bar & Grill Present A Taste of the Season: Reveal & Fundraising Dinner

Bath, OH — Western Reserve Playhouse (WRP) is thrilled to announce A Taste of the Season: Reveal & Fundraising Dinner, a special evening of celebration, connection, and community in partnership with NuVue Bar and Grill. The event will take place Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 7:00–9:30 PM at NuVue in Bath, Ohio, less than five minutes from the Historic Barn that houses Western Reserve Playhouse.

The evening will feature a gourmet buffet dinner, live entertainment, and the highly anticipated unveiling of WRP’s 2026 Mainstage Season. The season, which is themed “Built By Us”, was developed in recognition of America’s upcoming Semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the nation’s founding. The theme highlights stories of identity, resilience, and collective creation, connecting local artistry to the ongoing story of a nation still reckoning with its roots and reimagining its future.

“I think this season of programming is a prodigious step in the right direction for WRP and our community at large,” says August Scarpelli, Artistic Director of WRP. “It is time that we take a considerate and specific look at the American condition. Our joys, our struggles, our hopes, our revolutions, and all of the thrilling things about the performing arts that create our identity and our culture.”

This exclusive dinner will feature a buffet curated by NuVue’s culinary team. The event marks WRP’s official unveiling of their 6 MainStage shows to take place from 2026-2027, offering guests a first look at the bold new productions, visionary changes, and creative partnerships that will define the season ahead. In addition to the highly anticipated reveal, attendees will enjoy an elegant buffet dinner, live performance, and opportunities to support the WRP’s ongoing mission of accessible, community-driven theatre.

“It is the development of the arts that mark the progress of any society. We do not exist in a vacuum. Nothing in nature exists for itself. As our world expands ever outwards, it is imperative that we do not lose touch with all of the things that make us who we are and the things we have built because of it.  So, it is our responsibility to wrestle with, illuminate, and celebrate who we are, what we have been, and where we have come from over the last 250 years.”

A Taste of the Season serves as a fundraising event in support of WRP’s community programs, artist development initiatives, and free summer theatre offerings. Tickets are $75 per guest, with proceeds directly benefiting the theatre’s ongoing artistic and educational endeavors.
