Musical Theatre Summer Camp in Bath, Richfield & Akron, Ohio
-
Kids this age don't need to perform. They need to play. This three-day camp is designed for the 7-and-under crowd who are curious about theatre but not quite ready for a full week of rehearsals — or for parents who just want to see what happens when their kid gets a microphone.
Each morning from June 15–17, campers explore acting, movement, and music through games and guided play at Western Reserve Playhouse. No experience needed. No pressure. Just a supportive space to be loud, silly, and creative for three hours.
On the last morning, families are invited to watch a short showcase at 12pm — not a polished production, just a peek at what the kids have been up to.
$100 | June 15–17 | 9am–12pm | Showcase: June 17, 12–12:30pm

This is WRP's most popular session for good reason. The 8–11 camp gives kids a full week to learn what it actually takes to put on a show — acting, singing, and movement all rolled into one afternoon program.
Campers spend five afternoons at Western Reserve Playhouse building material from scratch and performing it for real. By the end of the week, they know their way around a stage. The June 27 showcase runs twice — 2pm and 5pm — so families have options.
No audition, no experience required. Kids who've never set foot on a stage do just fine here. So do kids who've been performing for years.
$125 | June 22–26 | 12:30–3:30pm | Showcase: June 27, 2pm & 5pm

This camp is for teens who already know they love theatre and want more than the basics. The 12+ session runs the same week as our 8–11 camp but covers more ground — stronger technique, more demanding material, and a higher expectation for what campers bring to the room.
Over five mornings at Western Reserve Playhouse, participants work on acting, vocals, and movement with a focus on performance quality, not just participation. Whether you've been in a dozen shows or you're training for your first audition season, this is a place to push yourself.
Both age groups perform at the same showcase on June 27 — two performances, 2pm and 5pm.
$150 | June 22–26 | 9am–12pm | Showcase: June 27, 2pm & 5pm
